Website Management Terms of Service

Clients enrolled in the Basic Website Management plan are entitled to website hosting that includes the SSL certificate, and 30-day running backups of all site files and database(s). This service covers all maintenance services for the website, including the back-end maintenance of the software platform and plug-ins, as well as the front-end content maintenance as requested by the client, limited to 3 hours per month of content maintenance before additional charges may apply, which will be billed at the discretion of Outward Image for the prevailing in-house hourly rate. Before proceeding with any work, however, we will notify the client in the case that their monthly allotment has been reached.

Additional functionality may be added to the site that may increase the monthly subscription fee. Additional fees will be based on ongoing maintenance costs of software modules that are installed on the site for specific purposes.

Cancellation Before 24 Monthly Payments

The client is not obligated to any length of term. However, if the client cancels our service before they have made a total of 24 monthly payments, it will result in the suspension of their website. Outward Image will retain their files and database(s) for 60 days. If the client shows no interest in returning to our service within that period of time, all files and database(s) will be deleted.

The client does have the option of moving their site to a new hosting provider. However, they will be charged a one time fee based on the remaining time left on their first 24 months of service. Any payments remaining during the first 24 months will simply be totaled into a single, one-time “buy-out price”. Once paid, Outward Image will provide all necessary account and log-in access to move all site files and database(s), and email accounts. The client is responsible for any expense in moving said accounts.

The base price for website management, plus additional fees for added software functionality, will constitute the modified base price for each individual client site, and shall be the monthly fee used to calculate the buy-out price mentioned earlier.

Outward Image does maintain some standard software packages for all sites. Upon taking possession of their site, clients will be required to assume any regular software fees formerly provided by Outward Image, or will need to adapt to the free versions of said software, if possible.

Cancellation After 24 Monthly Payments

If the client decides to cancel their service after they have made a total of 24 monthly payments, they have the option of moving their website to an alternative hosting provider free of charge.  Outward Image will provide all necessary credentials and access to all files and databases for a successful transfer to the new hosting server. In this event, Outward Image will no longer be obligated to fund any software platform or plug-ins included in the site at the time of cancellation. As such, all fiscal obligations for maintaining the site will transfer to the client. These charges will vary per site depending on the number and subscription price of any software platform, module, or plugin.
